Belly Dance Showcase raises over £2,000 for the Whitechapel Mission for the Homeless!!



I'm delighted to tell you all that the Belly Dance Showcase held on Friday 4th March 2011 at the Wickham Halls in West Wickham, Kent, raised net profits of £2100 (with some donations still coming in!) and that cheques for this amount have now been sent to the Whitechapel Mission (via Chislehurst Rotary Club President - our MC Dr Roger May)!
The show included varied Solo and Troupe Belly Dancing performances by Jacqueline Chapman and students from Jacqueline's Beckenham, Chislehurst, London and Orpington classes (see below for details) - and some special guests.
It was presented by Dr Roger May, MBE.
All profits from the show were donated to the Whitechapel Mission - a charity which supports rough sleepers and hostel-dwellers of London with food, clothing, friendship, counselling and all manner of practical support.
The entire performance was filmed by Endorfin TV and is available on a DVD to purchase (expected availability by 19th March).
